All About Carter

Carter is are fearless child! He loves to climb, is very adventurous, and very independant. He has a contagious smile, he's just so sweet. He loves to do everything daddy does. He's not my baby any more, he is my little toddler and he lets everyone know it. Very determined to get what he wants. Loves to be naked and will put up a fight to keep it that way! We just love him so much! He has a way of melting into your heart!

Preston was jumping on the couch at Grandma Nelson's and I told him not to and if I saw him do it again I was going to put him in time out. His response was "then don't look at me then!" I had to turn away so he didn't see me smile. He always says stuff like that. His favorite thing to say right now is, "you have to let me do what ever I want to do."

Carter loves to give kisses! He must of sensed the other day that Preston was sick with a cold and not having the best day. Preston was crying and he walked over and gave him a big hug and kiss until he stopped crying. It was so cute! He even gives kisses to say that he sorry.

It was Carter's first time in nursery and we left and was peeking in the window to check on him. I could see that he was about to cry. Preston noticed Carter was sad and stopped playing and went over to him and hugged him and told him it was going to be okay and took him by the hand and had him go play with him. So sweet! It made me cry.

I wanted to share a couple of funny things Preston has said over the last couple of weeks that will make you smile.

We were out picking beans and Preston put his flip flops on and was walking in the grass and said ''my flip flops are flipping and flopping in the grass and Heavenly Father and Jesus like it, and when I get bigger I'm going to go to heaven and see Jesus and I'm going to climb up on his knee and give him a big hug! I said 'you are!?' I had tears in my eyes. Then he said, 'Yeh! And when I throw up I'm going to go to him too, I guess.' I just laughed!

We were going boating and we couldn't find the plug when we got there so we went and got one at the store and came back and he told a random stranger that we got a plug and Heavenly Father and Jesus liked that.

We were driving and he loves telling me stories when we drive and he said,' when my dad was little Great grandma Porter spanked his bum the other day.'

We were spending are first night in Montana this last weekend and my mom asked Preston if he was a little tired and he said, 'no, I'm just a lot tired.'

He wanted to wear a long sleeve thermal shirt and the pants that match it and I told him that it would make him really hot and he looked and me with one of those determined faces and said,'maybe I want to be hot!' So I couldn't fight with that and let him wear it!

Carter is so darn cute I was blowing on his food and he kept blowing when I would blow. So I was trying to get him to blow on it and as soon as I would get it to his mouth he would open his mouth really big. I would say no, blow on it first. He was getting frustrated that I wouldn't just put it in his mouth. It was funny.
