Carter is are fearless child! He loves to climb, is very adventurous, and very independant. He has a contagious smile, he's just so sweet. He loves to do everything daddy does. He's not my baby any more, he is my little toddler and he lets everyone know it. Very determined to get what he wants. Loves to be naked and will put up a fight to keep it that way! We just love him so much! He has a way of melting into your heart!

Those were the answers right from his mouth. Preston is so smart! He loves numbers, he can count to 30 without help. He adds, and we're working on subtraction. He writes his name and a few other words without help. He just loves life and is curious about everything! He asks about 20 or more questions a day. He has a drive to learn and grow. He has a sunflower in a cup that he is growing and every morning he has to go see how much it has grown, it's like watching Preston grow right before my eyes too, he's not a baby any more! He's not even a toddler any more! He's growing so fast. He is a good big brother and is always looking out for him. He's a little bit cautious and that is a good thing. He's a great leader and we are very proud of him and the little man he is becoming.

Blessings

I just wanted to write about what a blessing it is to have a husband who hold the priesthood and can give a fathers blessing when asked. We were at my in laws and Carter has been having a really sore bum off and on for awhile. It was so bad when we were there he was screaming and I was crying because I couldn't do anything about it. Don't worry we will be taking him to see his doctor next week. He must be allergic to something and I'm tired of playing the guessing game. Anyway, I asked Jarrod to give him a blessing before we left. I don't know why I didn't think about doing it before, because I feel so much better now. Then I said okay Preston lets go and he said we can't go yet I didn't get mine. Jarrod said what do you need a blessing for and he said so I can stop getting sick with a cold. He has had his fair share of colds this year. So Jarrod gave him the sweetest blessing. He is such a good boy and what a blessing to have in are family, he is a great example to his little brother. I'm very proud of him!

The Deck Story

So a few of weeks ago the snow melted and there was a bunch of toys that Preston and Deacon threw off the deck before it snowed. So Preston wanted to go get them so I sent him out with a bag to go collect and Carter wanted to go to, but I wanted to finish cleaning the kitchen so I thought I would let him go out on the deck to watch because there was no stairs and I would crack the door so I could hear. I never imagined that Carter would actually climb up and over the top of the deck and jump! I heard a faint cry and Preston calmly yelling that Carter just fell off the deck. So I jumped down there and checked him over to make sure there was no broken bones! I think it's only a 10 foot drop but for a 1 1/2 yr old that is a long drop. Well, turns out he is fine and I had Jarrod's dad come give him a blessing since Jarrod was working in Provo that week. He moaned and groaned for the rest of the night but I think he is okay now.
